Translation for convenience, the German version is legally binding.
This privacy policy applies to the Terpory website. You will find a note on the Terpory app further down.
In short
- No tracking, no analytics tools, no advertising.
- No cookies. Your browser only keeps your choice between light and dark mode, if you use the switch.
- No external fonts, scripts or embedded content. Everything comes from this website.
- Visiting the site only creates the technically necessary server log files at our host Netlify.

Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Netlify:

When you visit the website, Netlify automatically processes data sent by your browser in so-called server log files:
- IP address
- date and time of the request
- page or file requested
- previously visited page (referrer), if sent
- browser type, operating system and amount of data transferred
- HTTP status code
This data is needed to deliver the website and to keep it secure and stable, for example to detect attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not combine this data with other data and do not evaluate it for advertising or analytics purposes.
Storage period: According to Netlify, logs are kept online for 90 days and offline for one year. Netlify does not state a separate period for the log files of this website alone. We have no influence over this period.
Processing on our behalf: Netlify processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. This Data Processing Agreement is part of Netlify's terms of use.
Transfer to the USA: Netlify is based in the USA and the data may be transferred there. Netlify is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, and the transfer relies on the EU Commission's adequacy decision on it (Art. 45 GDPR). Should this basis cease to apply, the agreement provides for the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).
Cookies, tracking and external content
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking services. Only if you use the switch for light or dark mode does your browser store your choice in local storage (localStorage, entry “terpory-theme”). The entry stays on your device, is not sent to us and remains until you delete it in your browser settings. Storing it is necessary for the feature you requested (§ 25(2) no. 2 of the German TDDDG).
Fonts, images and stylesheets are loaded exclusively from this website. Text appears in your device's system font. No third-party content is embedded.
Links to Instagram and YouTube
On this website we link to our Instagram profile. This is a plain link, not an embedded plug-in: as long as you don't click it, no data is sent to Instagram. If you follow the link, Instagram's privacy policy applies (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.).
The same goes for the link to our YouTube channel: nothing is embedded. If you follow the link, YouTube's privacy policy applies (Google Ireland Limited).
Partner links
Links to partner shops are marked as advertising and contain a partner ID. If you follow such a link, the shop can tell that you came from us; if you buy something, we may receive a commission. This website itself collects no data in the process and sets no cookies. The shop's privacy policy applies on its site.
Contact by email
If you email us, we process your email address and the content of your message to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to a contract or pre-contractual measures, otherwise our legitimate interest in answering under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete your request once it has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply.
Our mailbox runs on Google Workspace from Google Cloud EMEA Limited, 70 Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland. Google processes the messages as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR on the basis of the Cloud Data Processing Addendum. Processing may also take place outside the EU; this agreement provides suitable safeguards for that, such as the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access your stored data (Art. 15)
- rectification of incorrect data (Art. 16)
- erasure (Art. 17) and restriction of processing (Art. 18)
- data portability (Art. 20)
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)
- lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77)
